This Liar should be behind Bars, long ago !

Dick Cheney says he doesn't remember playing a role in the eventual outing of a CIA agent.

Former vice president Dick Cheney told a special prosecutor in 2004 that he had no idea who leaked the identity of CIA agent Valerie Palme, according to newly released FBI documents.

Cheney was questioned as part of an investigation on how journalists came to know the identity of Palme, the wife of former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, who was a critic of the Iraq war.

In the interview, Cheney responded to many questions with "I do not recall."

However, he took a few stabs at the CIA in its handling of White House allegations that Iraq was attempting to purchase uranium from Niger to manufacture nuclear weapons.

Wilson was dispatched to Niger on a CIA assignment to explore the charges and later said that the Bush administration was twisting facts to support an invasion of Iraq. He implied in a newspaper article that his trip was at the behest of the vice president.

Cheney, his chief of staff, Scooter Libby, and presidential adviser Karl Rove, were named in a 2006 federal civil lawsuit by Palme and Wilson. Palme contended she was the victim of intentional and malicious exposure and that both she and Wilson suffered a violation of rights. The lawsuit was dismissed in 2007.

Only Libby was tried and convicted of perjury, obstruction and lying to the FBI about the Palme leak. President George W. Bush later commuted his sentence.

Cheney told the FBI he did not recall discussing Palme with Libby prior to her name being published in a column by Robert Novak in July 2003, and said he had no knowledge of Libby's meeting with New York Times reporter Judith Miller a week before Palme was identified.

Melanie Sloan, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics, said: "Mr. Cheney's near total amnesia regarding his role in this monumental Washington scandal -- resulting in the conviction of his top aide --shows why."

We’ll see how Dick Cheney and his firm Halliburton benefited by Iraq War in next post.

House Haunted

HARTFORD, MI—On the outside it may look like any other home, but within the walls of 6535 Maple Ave. lies a terrifying secret: Every night, when the sun goes down and the moon comes out, this suburban bungalow is haunted by the restless, tormented souls of its current residents, the Davidson family.

"I always get this eerie chill whenever I walk by that house," said Katherine Sturges, who has lived next to the spooky residence for nearly a decade. "Sometimes, if you listen closely, you can hear these terrible screams at night. God-awful screams about money and hell and wanting a divorce."

Added Sturges, "I'm telling you, there's something not quite right about that Davidson place."

According to neighbors, three dead-eyed specters haunt the cursed dwelling: Jonathan Davidson, 58, a once-successful attorney whom many claim died on the inside years ago; his wife, Sheila, 56, a hollow, waiflike figure who reportedly roams the hallways of her home late at night, searching for a time long since past; and their adult son, Peter.

"They say the ghosts of what was once a happy family inhabit that home," neighbor Douglas Smith said. "I've heard doors slamming and cupboards being opened and closed at all hours of the night. I've even heard mournful wails coming from the basement, where poor Peter supposedly sleeps, estranged from the only woman he ever loved. Gives me the heebie-jeebies just talking about it."

Though few actually know what takes place inside 6535 Maple Ave., and fewer still wish to find out, a number of local residents have devised theories based on strange sightings.

SriLanka Qn - - - Dayan Jayathillake

The renowned and non-communal minded editor of Lanka Guardian was Mervyn de Silva.
He discussed local and international politics at home with his son,  Dayan, since he was 8 years young.

The young Dayan changed his surname to his paternal ancestrol name of Jayathillake.

Now we will get glimpse of Dr Dayan Jayathillake,  the diplomat,  SriLanka's Rep at UN,  non-communal minded intellectual like the Tamil intelectual Dr Neelan Thiruchelvam.

We should bear in mind Dr Neelan Thiruchelvam was considered a traitor by the Tamil Tigers and mudered by them.
Likewise Lasantha Wicrematunge was murdered by the SriLankan govt thugs.

Dr Dayan Jayathillake has said,  in Sri Lanka Guardian,  on Tamil Qn :

'' Most countries of the world supported us to finish off Prabhakaran and the Tigers; not the Tamils.

The Provincial Council,  '' 13th amendment not been in practice for even a year in peacetime It has to be tried out for a decent length of time.

'' How we would all have behaved had these been a quarter million Sinhalese of all ages behind barbed wire and armed guards, rather than a quarter million Tamils.

'' The IDP issue is being looked after by an 18 person Task Force which is headed by a Sinhalese and initially had only Sinhalese members,

'' Provincial power sharing can be strengthened by first putting it into practice under conditions of peace and normalcy.

'' What is needed is the broadest international consensus in favor of the full and expeditious implementation of the 13th amendment, which after all, is part of our very Constitution and is something we have solemnly promised.

'' Since our historic military victory we have not yet followed it up with a political component which is necessary to reinforce that victory,

'' The TNA which contested the 2004 elections claiming that the Tigers were the sole representatives of the Tamils, have made a comeback in the North.

'' If our political process continues to delay or be inadequate, what is to prevent the Tamil voters from either boycotting in large numbers or opting for the TNA at the forthcoming parliamentary elections?

On the Qn of IDP camps   '' We must ask ourselves whether we are doing the very best we can on this issue.  Would we have put up with a situation in which a quarter million Sinhalese were behind the wire while their issue was being handled by a Task Force which was composed almost exclusively of Tamils? ''

'' At least we should have the Social Services Minister, who is a Northern Tamil, as the co-chair of the IDP Task Force.

His appeal to SriLankans:  '' We have to share this small island on which we do not live alone. We have to coexist. We cannot force togetherness or integration.

'' But if we cooperate and then unite, we can create wonders. Let us join Asia and the global mainstream.

Stevia the Sweetner Strengthens Pancreas and is Safer than Sugar

Stevia  herbal  plant's  extract  in  liquid  form  or  powder  is  used  successfully  as  a
Sweetener  by  Diabetic Patients  in  the  Caribbean  for  a long  period  of  time.

It is safer than regular Sugar.    As Stevia contains no chemicals whatsoever.
It can help lower their blood sugar and help strengthen the pancreas, the organ that produces insulin.

The  only  complaint  is  that  Stevia  leaves  a bad  taste  in  the  mouth.

However,  this  problem  is  solved  by  manufacturers,  says Time magazine,
in the form of  TruVia and PureVia

Stevia is 30 times sweeter than regular sugar. This means a drop or two of the extract or quater or half a tea spoon of the powder is sufficent to sweeten your cup of coffee or tea.

The extracts come in liquid form and are usually sweeter than the powders. Keep this in mind as you reach for the Stevia to sweeten your bowl of oatmeal for breakfast.   Stevia added food is  healthy filled with good things for your heart and your blood sugar.
Sweeten it with a little cinnamon and you'll be helping your blood sugar even further.

If you do want to substitute Stevia for sugar in your recipes, use this conversion: 1 cup of sugar is equivalent to approximately 1 tsp. of the liquid extract and 1 1/2 tsp. of the powdered extract. For example, you can add it to unsweetened chocolate, yogurt, coffee, tea and basically any recipe that calls for sugar.

Consider baking with Stevia. But before you substitute Stevia for sugar in your favorite cookie recipe, understand that this will change the composition considerably.
Sugar gets crispy in the oven and also interacts with yeast if you're baking things like bread. In order to bake with it properly your best bet is to follow a recipe specifically created for Stevia.
